Word Power Companion is a detailed study guide for high school spelling students. This study guide contains the diacritical marks and definitions* for all of the words in the 2020-2021 UIL Word Power. The words for vocabulary study are in a separate section. Along with definitions and diacritical marks, etymology is included for all vocabulary words. Synonyms and antonyms are also included for vocabulary words where appropriate. Word Power Companion also includes phonetic spellings for all 1500 words and a comprehensive list of roots for the vocabulary words. The most popular segment with spellers is the miscellaneous list section in which words are grouped into focus categories such as accented words and capitalized words. Word Power Companion is bound and easy for the students to use.
Changes for 2020-2021 WPC: Based on feedback from coaches, we have streamlined the WPC. We have condensed the first section of list words to include the phonetic and diacritical pronunciation with the definition. The vocabulary section will remain unchanged. We will include one root section (by word.) Also, the price is lower!
Available in Texas only.
