Spelling competitions sponsored by the UIL, TAPPS, and PSIA provide Texas students, enrolled in public and private schools, the opportunity to excel. All three organizations base their competitions on the official UIL Word Power used by high school students and A+ Spelling List used by junior high, middle school, and elementary students.
Our goal at ASW is to be of service to students who compete in these spelling competitions and to the teachers who coach them. We do this by providing inexpensive, quality materials consisting of sound enhanced computer programs, audio CDs, printed tests, high school study guides, and high school vocabulary flash cards. These materials will give students an edge, allow them to work independently, and free teachers from the tedious work these contests require.
